About Khopra Danda Trek - 10 days

Khopra Danda Trek is the newly opened trekking trail in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The route is thus off the beaten route and perfect for those who are looking for a short trek in Nepal. People who mostly come for trekking in Nepal opt for the Annapurna Base camp or Everest Base Camp Trek. However, if you want to experience trekking in the less crowded hiking trails of Nepal, then Khopra Danda is the one for you.

Khopra Danda Trek organized by Himalayan Ecological Trekking is a 13 days journey. This journey begins with a guided tour around the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. And then onwards the journey takes you to Ghorepani which is one of the famous traditional villages of Nepal. And just like the traditional village of Ghorepani, you will pass many villages on this trek. One traverse through dense rhododendron forest, and narrow foothills, crossing many small and large bamboo or iron bridges over the ghastly flowing rivers. After a few days of walking, you will reach a beautiful Khayer lake which gives you a sense of calm and tranquillity as you will be in between the wonders of Mother nature. From the Khopra Dada, you will have splendid views of the Annapurna massif, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Himchuli, and many other Himalayan peaks of Nepal. This is purely a tea house trek.

Even Though the trek is off the beaten path, this is fairly an easy trek. With a maximum elevation of 4600 m above sea level, the trek is comparatively easier. Thus, Khopra Danda Trek is attainable by every age group of people. And the best time to do the Khopra trek would be spring and autumn in Nepal. Around this time, the weather is more favourable and moderate. Likewise, you can have magnificent views of the mountains under clear blue skies.

This trek not only lets you experience the rich and diverse culture of Nepal, but also allows you to get insight into their lifestyle, culture, and tradition. Moreover, the best part of trekking in Nepal is you will get to have wonderful vistas of the Himalayas which you can get through this trek too. So, if you are looking for a short and easy at the same time adventurous trek in Nepal then come along and make Himalayan Ecological Trekking your travel companions and explore these paths that have been less travelled.
