About Makalu Base Camp Trek - 14 days

The Makalu Base Camp Trek begins which a scenic flight to Tumligtar from Kathmandu and an adventurous drive to Num. From the beginning of this trail, you will get accustomed to the thrilling part of trekking in Nepal. The trekking trail entails passing through a beautiful and dense rhododendron forest. If you are trekking from March to the Mid of May which is the best time for trekking in Nepal, you will be able to see the forest covered with fully blossomed rhododendron flowers. 

Makalu Base Camp Trekalso includes a picturesque view of the world’s highest mountains: Mt. The trail also includes passing through Makalu Barun National Park which shelters many endangered animals like red pandas and snow leopards. The national parks also house musk deer, wild boar wild yak, Himalayan Thar, and more than 70 other species of mammal, 440 species of bird, and more than 3000 species of plants.

Day 1: Pick up from airport transfer to the Hotel

Our representative will greet you at the airport arrivals terminal holding a sign with your name. They will assist you with your luggage and escort you to the waiting vehicle. You will be comfortably transported to your hotel in Kathmandu. The transfer will be in a private vehicle, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free journey. The estimated travel time from the airport to your hotel is approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Bottled water will be provided during the transfer.

    Useful Information
